Disney-Obsessed Grandma Plans Disney World Trip With Grandkids Without Asking Their Parents, Despite Needing Help With Her Bill For The Last 6 Months

How can she pay for Disney World for multiple people if she can’t even pay her own bills?

Disney Adults are one of the most oppressed groups in the world today. Well, not necessarily, but they do get a lot of slack for the mere crime of liking a theme park. Sure, maybe wearing mouse ears and crying when you meet Donald Duck is «uncool» by the standards of conventional society, but within the gates of Disneyland, it’s a magical moment! The best part about Disney theme parks is that they’re fun no matter who you are. They aren’t cheap parks made only for kids; they aren’t concrete jungles with 10 roller coasters and nothing else. Disney provides magical experiences for children of all ages.

The only time Disney isn’t a magical experience is when you’re going without the means to afford it. I would think that in 2026, everyone knows that Disney is a wildly expensive vacation destination. If you regularly vacation to Disneyland or Disney World, you probably know exactly how to have a great trip, avoid long lines without breaking the bank, and do everything you want to do on a budget. There are entire books and YouTube channels devoted to teaching you exactly how to book your Disney vacation, laying out in no uncertain terms which attractions and experiences are worth the massive price tag and which are PT Barnum-esque rip-offs.

Even if you do all of the tricks to avoid spending money at Disney World, the experience will still set you back some Benjamins. The grandma in this story is a textbook Disney Adult who wants to treat her grandkids to a park experience, but there’s only one problem. She can’t even afford to pay for her living expenss, and she would need her grandkid’s parents to subsidize the trip, which they are totally unwilling to do, considering that they’re the ones who have been paying her bills for the past six months.
