There are many perks that come with being a dog parent. For one, you now have a best friend for the rest of their life. A dog’s love and loyalty is unwavering and you will never experience anything like it. Congrats! Plus, they are empathetic and playful, so they tend to make great emotional support animals. Another perk, especially if you have a big dog, you get «scary dog privileges.» This means, even if your dog is the sweetest, derpiest, and harmless creature in the entire universe, people will still initially be wary. I mean, even though your dog would rather kiss someone to oblivion, they still have the power to rip them to shreds. So, it’s fair, but one «he’s friendly!» from you can dismantle that judgement.
