Dude Gets Fired For ‘Time Theft’ After Taking Two Smoke Breaks Per 12-Hour Shift

I could not handle having a job where you sit around and do nothing all day. I know many workers dream of having one of these «fake jobs» that only requires you to do a couple of hours of actual work per day, but they aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Unfortunately, one of the primary requirements of jobs like these is that one looks busy at all times. It doesn’t matter if you’re actually busy; the appearance of productivity is the most important thing. That can be difficult because things you might want to do, like reading or scrolling through TikTok, are strictly off-limits. You can fake productivity for a while, but management eventually catches on to your little schemes. This scenario happened to Redditor u/Gasp32, who worked as a departmental auditor in a warehouse. After taking an extra smoke break every shift for two years, he got fired for «time theft.»
