Quit treating my wife like a plus-one!

A 33-year-old and his 38-year-old brother always had miniature squabbles growing up, but when the eldest always proved to be the Golden Child with Mom and Dad, his arrogance and his habit of making unsavory jokes grew stronger. Finally, after years of making disrespectful comments about his younger brother’s wife, the eldest was held accountable. The younger brother refused to attend the family vacation, canceling plans because his brother said his wife wasn’t considered «real family» and would be banished to the random kids’ room in the cabin. 

And with that final toxic comment, the eldest was put in his place. 

Perhaps next time he decides to belittle his sister-in-law, he’ll discover that family is more than just genetic makeup, and his brother will always choose his loving wife over his snide older brother.
