Employee accidentally says ‘I love you’ to an important client at the end of a call, she’s mortified when he responds with an email: ‘You should be proud’

We all have our personal Hall of Fame of moments we wish we could delete from our memories. Embarrassing events that we usually only remember when we’re in bed at the end of the day, trying to fall asleep. Our brains love to go through that Hall of Fame when we least expect it, and nothing can stop the cringe that follows as every horrifying memory plays through our minds.

Calling the teacher ‘mom’ in front of the entire class, falling face first while running to catch the bus, causing a landslide of cans when bumping a display table at the grocery stores; these are just a handful of classic example of cringe-worthy moments most of us have experience, yet would do anything to forget. Which is funny, if you really think about it, because none of us remember other people’s embarrassing moments; we only remember ours, which should be reassuring, except that it’s not.

Saying ‘I love you’ to someone by accident is another classic example of a moment that deserves to be a part of the embarrassing Hall of Fame. But luckily for the woman in the story below, that moment for her actually had a wholesome ending.
