Some jobs are not what they seem. And unfortunately, it can take a few days to find that out. The interview process is supposed to be a two-way street, but it can quickly turn into a parade of illusions. Everyone is trying to put their best foot forward, and so nobody finds out the truth. 

But you’ll find out the truth soon enough, and it might hurt to get over. It’s so difficult to find a new job that when you do find one, you feel like your ship has finally come in. You want to hold onto it with all you have, and you hope that it suits your needs. But the first couple of days on a new job can be a whirlwind. You’re meeting all sorts of new people, figuring out the new tasks you have to do, and adapting to a new work environment. Every job is different. You don’t always know what you can expect from company culture.
