When it comes to progressing in a career versus slacking off, the balance can be a difficult one to strike: employers claim that they will recognize and reward those people who go above and beyond with their responsibilities, but then anybody who seems to be a little too good at their job is likely going to be stuck in the same position for as long as they can get away with it.
