Family should be there to help family, but there are plenty of exceptions to this rule. There are times when relatives burn bridges to the extent that they cannot rely on their family members to help them out of a tough spot. As well as this, sometimes those whom people turn to for help are not in a position to offer the level of support that is being requested. Careful judgment must be used when looking for assistance.
