Today is a perfect day to be inside.

It’s cold out there; there’s no way around that. So you’re probably looking for things to do to occupy yourself in these subarctic temperatures. You’re looking for a few ways to pass the time, and you’ve already put together all the puzzles in your house. Plus, you’ve already ravaged through all your snowstorm snacks before the snow even touched the ground, you’re staying inside, and you’re avoiding unnecessary travel. Your pets have seen more of you than they ever thought was possible. Maybe you laced up your snow boots and put on your winter hat to go take a walk to your local corner store just to get a sense of the outside. Then you hurried back because your fingertips were starting to freeze. It’s a communal time of being cold, and something about it brings us all together, even if we’re apart. Now is the time of learning what you can do to pass the time in your own house. Maybe you’re watching some comfort movies. 

Maybe you’re cheffing up a big pot of soup to keep you warm, or maybe you’re asking your roommate really deep questions that you never have time to ask in your regular day-to-day. Maybe you’ve started pacing around your apartment, doing jumping jacks every now and again just to stay warm. And if you’re like me, and your radiator is having a hard time keeping up with the cold, then you’re probably wrapped in every blanket you have, and I have on at least two pairs of socks.
