Family member refuses to take back the wedding gift they gave their cousin after the couple divorces shortly after the wedding, gets confronted by family: ‘I don’t want the money back’

Many couples stay together much longer than they should simply because they don’t want to deal with the social repercussions of their separation. They don’t want to tell their parents of the upcoming divorce, or face the sorry looks of all their friends and family after having to explain, yet again, why their relationship failed.

Now, imagine having to go through all of that and having to return the wedding gifts you got from all of your guests. The couple in the story below did not prolong their relationship and ended their marriage only two months after the wedding, after the groom discovered his new wife had cheated on him. As it turns out, it is customary to return the wedding gifts received if the marriage does not last longer than a year, so that is what the couple set out to do.

One cousin, however, refused to accept their gifts back, which made the entire situation even more awkward than it was. They were later confronted by their insensitive behavior, so scroll down to read the full tale.
