There are a lot of different reasons that people choose to get into or stay in romantic relationships, and sometimes they are questionable ones. Supposedly, most couples are together for the sake of love, but scratch the surface and it becomes apparent that this isn’t always the case. 

For example, it is quite common for people to choose a partner thanks to the resources they can extract from them. It is no surprise that this can often leave the other party with complaints about their relationship, not least when this dynamic creeps up slowly. Although many would argue that being with someone should offer as much of an equal give and take as possible, it doesn’t always end up that way.

The demands that an overly entitled romantic partner makes can come as a shock, and dealing with it is never easy. Strong boundaries are needed to prevent a potential disaster.
