As somebody who came to dog ownership later in life, I’m still new to its many novelties. I can see why a load of millennials decide to get one instead of having kids. They are essentially hairier toddlers that never speak or grow up, with all the upsides and downsides that come with that. Nobody is going to be happier to see you come home from work than your dog, but there’s also a not 0% chance that they’ve destroyed the couch out of boredom in the meantime.

Yes, dogs are definitely one of the more high maintenance pets. However, they make it worth it with the value that they add to our lives. Not only are they lovable and loyal, they’re also hilarious to be around. It’s no surprise that this translates into a lot of memes. You don’t have to be a canine parent to enjoy these, because they’re entertaining enough on their own.
