Being a parent is definitely an interesting gig to take on. You really just never know what to expect. We try to go to lectures, we listen to the advice that we get from our friends, and of course, we read all of those super aesthetic books about how you should be super strict or super gentle or whatnot. It’s good to do research, but at the end of the day, any parent knows that there are inevitably going to be a stupendous amount of surprises. And that’s what keeps our lives interesting, so we’re not exactly complaining,

So really the best advice to give anyone who is looking to know what to look forward to before coming to a parent is «expect the unexpected.» But that’s not exactly satisfying advice. Either way, whether you are a new parent or your children have children, you’ll probably get a kick out of these Tweets.
