Gen Z Employee Posts Real Interactions She’s had with Clueless Boomers While Working at a Phone Store

Listen, it’s no new news that older generations have a little trouble adjusting to the newest technology. Heck, even millennials need some time to adjust to new things like TikTok or AI bots. But at least millennials grew up constantly having to learn about the advancing new technology, so they are at least used to the few bumps in the road that you hit while readjusting. Boomers, however… Oh god, where do we even start? They’re not only painfully slow at adjusting to new technology, they actively try to fight against it’s advancements. They only just recently started to get Facebook and now that social media platform is basically a retirement home. No newer generation uses Facebook anymore (except maybe a few Gen X).

So is it really all that surprising that a Gen Z employee at a phone store encounters some mind boggling experiences with boomers? They don’t understand how phones work and they get angry about it. If you’re a boomer reading this (probably via Facebook, be honest…) then remember to first check if the brightness is all the way down, the volume is muted, and your battery is dead before going to a teenager at a phone store and yelling to them that «they» sold you a broken phone. You look like a dang fool…

See some of the wild boomers-in-a-phone-store experience this poor Gen Z employee had to endure below.
