After 12 years, the dog has certainly become an integral part of the family. But when this mooching brother-in-law lost his sister’s beloved pet due to his laziness, he thought a pup was as easy to replace as a cracked windshield or an old t-shirt. 

We all stick our necks out now and then to help family. Sometimes, we’ll cancel fun plans to babysit the nephews and nieces or we’ll offer to help them move. If you’re lucky and have a generous family, they’ll even offer to house you in times of crisis, lending a helping hand to a sibling, parent, or auntie in need. Then again, that generosity isn’t always reciprocated, and in the case of the young couple in our next story, their selfless act ended up costing them a beloved furry friend.
