We have all seen the effort that die hard romantics will put into the perfect proposal. For some, the search for the perfect moment is one of the most important decisions of their lives, aside from the wedding plans themselves. However, no matter how much effort gets put in there is still a chance for plenty of things to go wrong. 

This is doubly true when it comes to proposing in public. Trusting the general public not to mess things up can be a tall order, as a video by brooke.michaela has shown. In it, she is proposed to at a beauty spot in a public hiking trail. An oblivious hiker walks into the background, realizes his mistake and stands awkwardly before removing himself from the frame. 

A lot of viewers were incensed on her behalf, arguing that the special moment was ruined by the unintentional photobomb. Others, though, pointed out that there was always a high chance of something like this happening when this happened in a public place. Despite the outrage at the inconvenience, it could have been worse: at least she didn’t reject him.
