Holy early Oscar predictions, Batman

If you’ve been tuned into the Oscar conversation over the past three years, you know the name Colman Domingo. The 56-year-old actor has nabbed two Best Actor nominations two years in a row for performances worthy of the statuette, but he has yet to take home the top prize. His performances are Oscar-worthy, but the movies they were for, Rustin in 2023 and Sing Sing in 2024, were not Oscar darlings like Oppenheimer or The Brutalist. He has the talent, but he hasn’t had an Oscar narrative that has propelled him to victory. At least, he hasn’t until now.
