There’s stupid and then there’s painfully, incomprehensibly, I-just-ruined-the-Tour-de-France stupid. One dumb spectator with her dumb cardboard sign got a little too close to the road, presumably in order to get on TV, just as competitors in the Tour de France came riding through. The sign caused one cyclist to fall and dozens of others came crashing down like dominos. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. 

The world’s worst fan fled the scene of the crime, but has since been arrested. If she wanted to get on TV, she got exactly what she wanted and then some. The Tour-crasher has since been brutally roasted across social media, including in the comment section of this NBC Sports clip.
