‘It has never been ok to show up to someone’s house completely unannounced ‘: Woman claims millennials killed community spirit, millennials fight back

People have blamed millennials for innocuous cultural shifts for at least a decade, if not more. They were such an easy target for so many years, taking up the «resident young generation» position with grace and dignity. Now, there are very few millennials who are under the age of 30, and Gen Z has usurped them as the babies of the adult world. With that, you would think that Gen Z would finally start getting blamed for everything, but no. Old habits die hard, and millennials continue to get flack for years to come.

A Twitter user recently went viral for claiming that millennials killed community spirit because they don’t want friends to reach out to them for help. She also claimed that millennials’ resistance to their friends showing up to their house unannounced is a problem. This opinion inspired some exciting discourse but primarily commenced in people agreeing not to show up to friends’ houses unannounced.
