Nobody wants to feel condescended to.
It’s a basic human want. We’re all adults who have worked hard to be here, and we don’t deserve to feel like people don’t take that seriously. We all deserve a fundamental level of respect from everyone we deal with, especially in job interview settings. It doesn’t matter if you’re applying for an entry-level position; you should demand fair treatment from everyone who comes your way. After all, you’re doing them a favor by being willing to share your talents. The very least they can give you in return is the time of day. But this isn’t always what happens, and it’s the unfortunate truth that recruiters will sometimes fluff up their offerings to seem more attractive, and then pull the rug at the last minute. This puts entry-level job seekers in a tough situation and makes them feel like they’re doing something wrong when really they’re not.
