Live music can be an emotional experience for everyone involved. I’m not ashamed to say that I’ve felt overwhelmed at some concerts that I have attended and even shed a tear or two. However, there is a difference between expressing emotion about the art that you love and being a massive inconvenience to everyone around you.

Unfortunately, not everyone understands that—in particular a certain subsection of Swifties. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has had its fair share of viral moments recently for fans having outsized reactions to her performances, but this latest example is perhaps the most egregious of all. 

When a video was shared of a preteen screaming their lungs out in the audience of one concert, people on the internet didn’t hold back in expressing their disapproval. At some point, we have to realize that other people have paid to enjoy the spectacle as well. They want to hear the music.
