Birthdays have a way of showing you exactly where you rank in someone else’s priorities, and apparently this one landed somewhere below a coworker having a feelings emergency

Not to brag, but my girlfriend’s birthday was this weekend, and so now I’m full, both with great food and great new memories and experiences and ALSO carrying the cocktail consequences curse, if you know what I mean. Haunted by the happy hour headache, if you know what I’m saying. Experiencing the post-party punishment. Okay, you get it, sorry anyways… 

Canceling your partner’s birthday plans needs to come with a very, VERY good explanation, and the one this boyfriend gave comes less in the form of an explanation and more as a huge red flag.
