Whenever a group of friends go out together, somehow there is always a dispute regarding money. For example – There is always that one person who owes another money since the previous outing, nobody wants to be the one who pays for the taxi, because they know they are never going to get that money back from the rest of the friends, and of course, there is always the question of whether or not the group should split the bill at the restaurant equally or if everyone should just pay for what they ordered.

If your group of friends is chill about money, then usually the evening will go smoothly and without any drama. But all you need is this one friend who tries to take advantage of others, and you can forget about having a nice evening out with people you like.

The couple in this Reddit story is definitely the problem, as they always try to make other people pay for their food. OP (original poster), has had enough of their nonsense and decided to make them pay for what they try to do. What he didn’t expect, was for his other friend to stand up for the entitled couple.
