Manager reduces hours on payslips, employee catches her out after 8 months of documenting: ‘I started screenshotting the rota’

Why do some managers always think that they can get away with mistreating their employees?

Bad bosses are the scourge of the working world. Many workers find all sorts of unfair conditions more bearable if they like and feel supported by their leadership, but if they don’t even have that, it is guaranteed that there is going to be a miserable working environment and a high turnover. Management is a big responsibility, one that should be treated with care. Those who take advantage of the power in underhanded ways are not suited to the job.

Unfortunately, no matter how much an employee dislikes working with their boss, it isn’t always easy to show them up for their poor management and make them face a consequence. More often than not, if you plan on doing that, it takes a reasonable amount of time and effort that they may well catch onto if you aren’t careful. The process is an arduous one. A lot of people would rather leave a job than deal with the hassle of teaching a bad manager a lesson, but we have to be grateful for the intrepid souls who make a point of calling them out in a way where they have to pay for their behavior.
