There is no use being coy about it: a pretty large percentage of the human population exists by accident. Planned babies are not the norm for every family, no matter how careful a couple might try and be with their family planning. While it is true that an unexpected pregnancy can wreak havoc on the lives of the parents, it also isn’t always a bad thing. Having a child is a major life change, but that can often be for the better. 

Nonetheless, a kid who exists by accident can still face more challenges than one who was long-awaited. While nobody can help how they came into the world, that doesn’t stop certain people from judging them for it. It is something that many children have the misfortune of learning at a young age. It doesn’t help that accidental can frequently be seen as synonymous with being an unwanted addition to the family.
