When we were kids, back when we had no cellphones and no way to contact our parents whenever we wanted, the fear of being forgotten by our parents lurked in every corner.

Every time your parents were more than 5 minutes late to pick you up, your tiny little mind would already convince you that they had forgotten all about you, and you were going to have to learn how to live in the wild. Thankfully, in most cases, your parents never actually forget about you, and you get picked up and returned home safe and sound.

That was not the case for the daughter in the story below, unfortunately. Even though her father did not forget her, she was still forced to walk 25 minutes home in the rain after no one picked her up from school. The reason? Her dad asked a friend’s mom to drive her home, but the mom failed to do so. She picked up her daughter alone and left his at school, without a single explanation.
