Weddings are a big deal. They’re usually all-day or all-weekend events, and they require a lot out you, even as a guest. They are expensive, overblown deals and you sacrifice a lot of your time and energy to them. This doesn’t always feel good to do, even on a normal day, because you have your own life to live and your own priorities that come with them. You don’t always feel like shelling out and taking up your whole weekend to celebrate someone else’s love story. You especially don’t want to do that if you’ve just had a baby and are still recovering. That’s a precious time, and you don’t want to spend it fulfilling obligations to other people.
