Reason for Fame: Kevin Kennedy has risen to fame on TikTok thanks to two things: giving out free legal information, and looking drippy as hell while doing it. The combination of strong Tennessee accent, willingness to tell people how to get out of trouble with cops, and a desire to show off his fabulous collection of rings wherever possible has made him a beloved figure to his 1.4 million followers. 

Basically, Kev’s TikTok account is like one long zany small town law commercial. He’s even got a catchphrase — «Kev’s got you covered™️». Sprinkling a few TikTok trends in with some pretty impressive roleplay in his advice skits, the man has a lot of range for somebody with such a strong brand. 

Notable Moments: As soon as he first shot to viral fame, the comment sections of @kevinkennedylawyer were filled with comparisons to the flamboyant and morally dubious fictional lawyer Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill. While there is little evidence that Kev has been involved in the kinds of shady undertakings of the Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad  character, the comparisons keep on coming. It doesn’t help that he has a rather more serious looking brother who also happens to be a lawyer, giving him his own Chuck (although admittedly they seem on much better terms than the fictional brothers). This resemblance doesn’t seem to detract the fandom, though.

Memeability Level: 6.5/10. Much of Kev’s memeable potential comes from the internet’s continued obsession with the Breaking Bad extended universe, but his larger than life personality still holds its own against the barrage of Saul Goodman comparisons. He is the complete energetic opposite of Look at My Lawyer Dawg, I’m Going to Jail. Making legal advice entertaining is no mean feat, and he’s a rare internet icon that you can learn something useful from. That alone is worth its weight in any number of memes.
