Non-Profit Employee Joins Colleagues In Maliciously Complying With Bosses’ Absurd Demands

One of the only good things about having terrible management at work is that it can create a feeling of solidarity between you and your co-workers. When everybody is in the same overly controlling and exploitative boat, it feels good that there are other people out there who understand the pain.

However, it’s even better when you’re able to work as a team to combat poor working conditions. Both good and bad things tend to come in threes, and it turns out that malicious compliance is no exception  — or at least, that seemed to be the case for u/aikdxz when she started to regret taking on her IT job at a small non profit earlier this year.

Citing the CEO as aggressive and demanding, she explained how one by one, herself and two other colleagues turned her excessive requirements against her. Involving OTT dress codes, ridiculously detailed time sheets and some good old fashioned password tomfoolery, it’s fair to say that justice was served with style. Let this be a lesson in treating your employees with respect.
