Parents Share Their Unpopular Parenting Opinions

Everybody has a different idea about how children should be raised. We’ve been raising children since prehistoric times, and we still can’t figure out whether it’s okay to spank them! My answer to that quagmire is «probably not,» but then again, I’m not a parent. When I say everybody has different parenting opinions, I do mean everybody. 5-year-olds, 98-year-old childless dudes, first-time moms, and deadbeat dads all have a lot to say about parenting and how it should be done.

If I had to share one of my unpopular parenting opinions, it would be this. I don’t think that social media accounts, especially parent-run social media accounts, should be allowed for children under the age of 13. Parents posting pictures on the public internet of their children without their consent is a recipe for disaster. You never know who is looking at your kid’s social media, and having Instagram clout for your 8-year-old is not worth it. Once again, I am not a parent, so if you want to see some unpopular opinions from actual parents, those opinions are waiting for you below!
