People Share the Best Pieces of ‘Micro Advice’ They Got From Their Parents

However you feel about them, there’s no denying that parents can be the most influential figures that we ever have in our lives. One of their many duties is to teach their kids, from the foundational walking and talking business to how they should approach major milestones in life. 

That being said, often the lessons from our parents that we remember the most are the small things. The more inconsequential pieces of advice can sometimes hit the hardest, just because they are so unexpected. 

This seems to be the takeaway from an interesting Twitter thread, in which people were asked to share the small pieces of advice their parents gave them that had really stuck with them through the years. Not all of that nagging was a bad thing if you actually remember it. Let’s be honest, though, some of the stuff that hasn’t made this list could easily be left out.
