To be a programmer is to attempt to understand one of the most important relationships of the world we live in today: the one between man and machine. For all the endless tapping and clicking that most of us are doing day in and day out, we need somebody to figure out how it can keep on running smoothly. 

As we know, this is often no easy task. The code can be longwinded and riddled with errors, and even when it runs successfully you never know when you are going to come up against another roadblock. That’s before you even take into account all the people relying on your technical prowess to keep things ticking over. It’s no wonder that so many coders like to take refuge in the relatable humor that comes from programming memes. The issues may be many, but at least there are also enough jokes about them to match.
