What’s up, programmers, tech geeks, and code monkeys? I have a question: do you ever feel smug about the amount of power you have over how so much of the world works nowadays? 

Actually, I don’t have to query that. I know you do, and with good reason. Even many of today’s luddites would be lost without the contributions made by all those dedicated developers out there who are making a mint for simply knowing how to code. 

While it might be true that not everything about this pastime or profession is sunshine and rainbows, nobody can deny its importance in society today. This is yet another reason that it’s an excellent topic for memes. When several vital systems for the functioning of just about everything as we know it lie in the hands of people like you, it’s only fair that you get to complain about it via humor.
