Being alive is inherently icky. If we think about all the functions performed by our body just to keep us ticking, it’s easy to conclude that we are naturally quite gross. While we are sometimes too uptight about all the disgusting things we cannot help, it’s also true that there are certain rules and social codes in place for a reason. 

Other people should not be forced to witness or deal with our grossness without consent, but unfortunately, not everybody feels that way. There are way too many individuals out there who do publicly barf-inducing things that no one else should ever have to handle. This has been shown in an awful AskReddit thread, in which it was asked what was the most shamelessly disgusting thing that Redditors had seen others do. Fair warning, these replies are not for the faint of heart. I’m never shaking hands with a stranger again after this.
