Satisfying Thread Reminisces On Times That Annoying Customers Played Themselves

Customers: they’re not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. Half the time, it can seem like the worse a customer behaves towards a service worker, the dumber they become. There’s just something about trying to lord superiority over somebody that probably doesn’t get paid enough that seems to obliterate brain cells, which can lead to some extra frustrating results. Sometimes, it can feel like talking to a brick wall.

However, this stupidity can sometimes boomerang back on difficult patrons in the sweetest form of karma. Their determination to be served some kind of justice occasionally ends up benefitting the business that they are up against more than themselves.

This has recently been proven by a delightful Reddit thread, where current and former retail and food service workers shared their best anecdotes of when rude or difficult people that they had to deal with tripped themselves up. If you’re going to be angry, it’s important to make sure it’s justified. As the old saying goes, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
