Serendipity. To some people who are in the know, it’s an incredibly overpriced dessert restaurant in New York City. You know, gold flake, expensive chocolate, the whole nine yards. To others, the word is the title of a very bland romantic comedy starring the actors John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. By definition, anything serendipitous is a happy, fortunate coincidence or discovery. While it may feel like serendipitous occurrences pass you over in favor of well, pretty much anyone else, they are actually more common than one might think – especially where humor is concerned.
