Is there a show more endemic to American pop culture than The Simpsons? It’s been running for 35 seasons, filling our airwaves with endless jokes, goofs, and memorable characters. It’s almost impossible to have had no contact with The Simpsons— it’s baked into our culture at every level, in every decade of the last 30-plus years. And for good reason. It’s consistently funny, keeps itself relevant, and has spookily predicted some current events in a way nobody can quite explain. 

One of the best parts of the show is its eye for detail. The creators take almost every opportunity given to squeeze a joke in somewhere, whether it’s on a newspaper headline or the name of a storefront.
