It’s a solid, simple, and versatile format, that has the ability to riff on real people and things that hold us up, or stuff that’s a little more ridiculous, ironic, and self-deprecating. The fact that the whole meme is built on a corny illustration makes it all the more enjoyable. It’s way more successful as a dank meme than its original purpose as a dramatic political statement.
