April is currently around the corner, which means that everyone’s favorite marijuana-based holiday is around the corner as well. Here in New York City, the «yerba» has been legalized, which means 4/20/2023 is going to be very, very interesting. While «exotic» smoke shops have been popping up faster than a thirteen-year-old’s pimples, most of them are operating without any legality. In fact, New York is giving licensing priority to charities and people who have been unfairly persecuted for minor marijuana offenses. It seems the city is trying to make things right. 

The legalization of marijuana doesn’t necessarily mean that people are being responsible when it comes to consumption. Though the «jazz cabbage» is pretty tame compared to many other substances, there’s always the chance that people will abuse it, much like the legal drug of alcohol.
