A lot can get lost in a text message, like emotional tone, sarcasm, and even words (if the recipient has poor reading comprehension skills). That stuff is pretty important. We’ve probably all had fights with significant others or friends because one of us misread the other. «OK» can sound pretty damn cold when it’s over text. Even with the potential for drama and misunderstandings, it is the number one choice of communication for most people. One of the fun things about text messages and DMs is that they can be taken totally out of context and posted on the internet for thousands of strangers to enjoy and laugh at. So that’s what we have done with this compilation of weird and embarrassing texts, unsolicited DMs, and messages from obvious scammers. It’s not much, but it’s honest work.
