A staggering 3.3 million Americans filed for unemployment benefits as the response to the coronavirus outbreak has escalated. Many Americans are now struggling to put food on the table, let alone pay rent. In places like New York, the $1,200 stimulus will barely cover a month of housing. As renters try to figure out how to keep shelter over their heads, some landlords are giving their tenants a break. Others, like comedian Jesse Case’s landlord, instead opt to send vaguely threatening emails. 

In the email in question, his landlord Kerri threatens to evict him if this month’s rent is not paid. As Jesse had already mailed his rent check, he decided to go full Karen on her ass. And we’re 100% here for it.
