One of the biggest Disney fan phenomena I’ve never understood is the Mickey ears you buy at Disney theme parks. I get wanting to wear something in the parks that isn’t a full outfit but still evokes the idea of a character you like. It’s a good way to communicate to others, «even though I cannot dress up like Snow White right now, she’s my favorite character,» with a simple headpiece.  My issue is that most of these ears have bows, and I can’t bring myself to wear one on my head as an adult woman. I respect Minnie Mouse’s grind, but I would much rather wear some Na’vi ears than the ears of a girly rodent.

I don’t know why I’m being so transparent about my feelings towards Minnie Mouse ears around all of you Disney fans. Maybe, as the giver of Disney memes, I trust y’all not to run me out of town for a take this hot. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
