Even when we are off the clock, many of us have lives that seem to revolve totally around work.
During the week, we are meal prepping and setting alarms for us to be ready to go and slog away at the grind the next day; during weekends and vacations, we are simply waiting for the next time that we have to leave our freedom behind and return to the workplace. For something that, for most, is not meant to take up more than 40 hours of our week, the mental space it occupies takes up so much more time than it should.
