Here we are, in the days leading up to the ultimate celebration of love. Even if you don’t have a special someone to share it with, there are the day-after candy sales to look forward to, and if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, then maybe the HR department at your workplace is concocting some kind of ‘fun’ office plans for you to endure. Much like what you might have for dinner tonight or the color you want to paint your kitchen, the modern celebration of Valentine’s Day was probably dreamt up in whatever the 19th-century equivalent of a boardroom was. It just goes to show that sometimes, work can actually be a profitable enterprise and not just something you do because society tells you to. That doesn’t mean that you still can’t appreciate the complaints about work memes, though. Love is temporary, but dealing with annoying coworkers daily is eternal.
