As I sit here typing, wiping stray bits of sleep from my eyes, and silently praying that closed blinds and a $16 dollar fan will save me from the record heat today, I can’t help but think: what is this all for? On an obvious level, everybody reading this can kind of gauge why this list exists. It is a bunch of memes about the many antics that we deal with in the workplace, here for your mild amusement, or distraction, or undoubtedly level-headed and thoughtful criticism. Nonetheless, the wider questions of why we work in the ways that we do still don’t have a satisfactory answer. A lot of us aren’t very happy in the jobs we do, and not all of them seem to contribute that much to society. Yet, here we all are, trying to raise a chuckle at these humorous missives from the land of the employee. Happy Monday.
