As the outside gets more cheerful at this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere, it becomes even more difficult for us to stay cooped up inside, as many of us full-time employed people do. Even those who happen to have a job working outdoors may find it hard to appreciate the changing seasons, because they’ve got all that blasted work.

Grinding away at for eight hours or more every day for a paid task of varying usefulness can feel like a pointless exercise, and on weeks like this that feeling can get even more prominent. It’s all the more reason to rely on a helpful dose of work memes to take the edge off it all. If nothing else, they remind us that there are plenty of people out there who share our pain. The ridiculousness of office politics might not be going away any time soon, but neither are the punchlines about it.
