Last weekend, I rewatched High School Musical 2 for the first time in years. That movie was one of the DVDs that was constantly playing in our house growing up, and it shows. My sister and I remembered all the words to all the songs, which I think is mostly due to the soundtrack constantly blasting on our iPod shuffles. 

The musical numbers are clearly the best part of the movie because the plot is a little weird. It’s all about Troy neglecting his friendships and relationship because he’s getting recruited by The University of Albuquerque for a basketball scholarship. Sharpay is far more scheming in this movie, spending all of her energy on helping Troy, sneakily trying to get him to leave Gabriella for her. I digress. The reason you watch High School Musical 2 is not for an airtight screenplay. It’s so you can watch the homoerotic masterpiece ‘I Don’t Dance’ and feel alive. If you are of the belief that the second High School Musical movie is the most superior, these Disney memes will have us all in this together.
