Walt Disney is one of those figures that you have to look at as a complex person. He’s not a villain, but he isn’t necessarily a hero, either. He was a brilliant man who could make his visions for his movies and theme parks come true just by articulating them. However, he did not do this alone and stood on the shoulders of hundreds of workers who imagineereed the things he imagined. Everybody knows that Walt Disney did not really treat his workers well and was cruel to anybody who tried to stand up for their rights as employees. He worked people to the bone, but he also worked extremely hard himself. He was uniquely hands-on in every project he worked on, and without his strict attitude, we would’ve never gotten movies like Snow White or a theme park like Disneyland.
