Parents’ social media usage has only grown in the past ten years. I remember when millennials started having kids and documented their entire parenting journeys from birth via Facebook. The landscape of parenting social media has vastly expanded, with some of the most popular parent-themed accounts being «gentle parenting» accounts. This content’s conceit is to teach parents how to parent their kids without traumatizing them. They post videos of their kids doing something naughty and show parents how they productively redirect their behavior. It’s interesting to watch, but it does beg the question of whether gentle parenting actually works and, perhaps more importantly, whether it’s okay to show your kids at their worst moments on social media. Only time will tell on both fronts. 

Luckily, parenting Twitter is the best place to find hilarious content about anonymous children. These parents are vulnerable and hilarious while sharing their journeys bringing up little humans.
