Some might argue that of all the places on the internet that people go to let it all out, Reddit is the most candid. Yes, like all major social media platforms, it contains its fair share of liars, bots, and slightly too creative storytellers, but its potential for anonymity also encourages people to reveal parts of themselves they might keep hidden elsewhere. That openness is part of what makes the platform so compelling, and it can inform just as easily as it can entertain (sometimes at the same time). 

In general, Reddit is a place where users feel freer to ask the stupid questions and pursue their passions, however stupid, without hesitation.
